Project Overview
This residence was constructed near the edge of a steep embankment above the New River. Localized soil shear failures under the deck posts caused the house foundation to shift. A new foundation footing on helical piles was constructed under the residence. The soil under the deck was removed and replaced with reinforced soil layers.
